Any iPhone running iOS 16 or later with GPS — that's iPhone 8 and newer. No additional hardware, sensors, or Bluetooth devices required. Everything runs on the hardware already in your pocket.

Yes. Recording, tack detection, and VMG analysis all work fully offline. Wind conditions are pre-fetched before you head out. AI coaching and cloud sync happen when you're back on Wi-Fi or LTE.

Tack+IQ works with any sailboat. For VMG analysis we ship polar presets for popular one-design and keelboat classes. Don't see yours? Tack+IQ builds custom polars automatically from your own sessions over time, so accuracy improves every time you sail.

After each session, Tack+IQ Coach has full context of everything — your GPS track, VMG per leg, every tack grade, wind conditions, and your historical performance across all previous sessions. You chat with it like a coach: ask why something happened, what to work on, or how you compare to your own baseline. Answers are specific to your data, not generic sailing tips.

Your data is yours. We don't sell it, share it with third parties, or use it to train AI models. Sessions are stored locally on your device and synced to encrypted cloud storage tied to your account only. No ads, ever.

Tack+IQ will have a free tier with core GPS tracking and basic analysis. Pro unlocks AI coaching, advanced VMG analytics, ocean current correction, and unlimited session history. Early access members from the waitlist get the first month of Pro free. Pricing will be announced at launch.
